History

For more than half a century, Fann has been an integral part of building Arizona’s infrastructure – from highways throughout the state to local roadways, public utilities, landfills, aviation, and private and commercial developments. What started as a small business in 1960, with one hardworking man and a single back hoe, has now grown into one of Arizona’s leading heavy / civil construction contractors.

Our success is rooted from our core values taught by our founder, the late James L. Fann. We continue to emphasize quality, performance, partnership, and “giving back” to our industry and communities throughout Arizona. In 1989, these ethics were passed to his son, Michael Fann, who took the helm as President of Fann Contracting, Inc. Mike’s business model relies heavily on the principle of building and maintaining win-win partnerships with owners, subcontractors, suppliers, and employees.

Mike’s son, Jason Fann, was introduced to the industry as a child and has since worked his way through the business fulfilling different roles. Now sharing the reigns of management at Fann Contracting, he continues the concerted effort to bring educated construction solutions to the people and communities of Arizona. Like his father and grandfather, Jason is fully dedicated to the heart of the company – Fann’s employees.

With more than 200 employees, a large equipment fleet, and a talented leadership team, Fann Contracting is looking ahead to many more years of building Arizona’s future.
