Quantities & Yield Calculation Class ~ Saturday, March 24 ~ 8 am to 12 pm (Yavapai Title)
In this class you will learn the formula and methods of calculating quantities of AB, AC, concrete, and bedding as well as volumes of pipe. In addition, you will be taught how to figure the asphalt yield on paving projects. This class will require you to bring a calculator. This class is open to all employees and is a required class for the apprenticeship program.

Competent Person in Excavation/Laser Training ~ Saturday, April 7 ~ 8 am to 2:30 pm (Yavapai Title)
All employees involved in underground utility construction should enroll in this course. You will learn correct soil testing procedures, how to identify hazards associated with trenching and excavation, and how to identify and use different types of protective systems. This class also now includes the non-ionizing radiation laser training required for employees to operate our lasers.

Confined Space Entry ~ Saturday, April 14 ~ 8 am to 1 pm (Yavapai Title)
This class will train in hazards associated with confined spaces, procedures for safely entering and working safely in confined spaces, how to determine if the space is a permit-required confined space, duties and responsibilities of employees working in confined spaces, and the use of atmospheric monitoring equipment to test the atmospheres in confined spaces. In this class, you will also learn how to set up and use the tripod rescue/retrieval system required for work in confined spaces, harness use and inspection, emergency procedures to follow in the event of an accident or injury, and how to use our gas monitors for testing atmospheres in confined spaces.
