In partnership with the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT), Fann successfully completed the I-17 Southbound County Line to McConnell Bridge Highway Rehabilitation Project. This ambitious infrastructure improvement, spanning 29 miles along one of Arizona’s most heavily traveled highways, has been honored with the prestigious 2025 Arizona Chapter Associated General Contractors (AZAGC) Build Arizona Award.
The $39.87 million project significantly enhanced road safety and driving conditions, featuring extensive pavement reconstruction, bridge repairs, guardrail installations, and environmental protection measures. Despite unexpected challenges, including a 240% increase in necessary Portland Cement Concrete Pavement (PCCP) repairs. The project was completed through innovative problem-solving techniques and collaboration.
“Our team overcame numerous obstacles to deliver a project that will benefit the community for years to come,” said Brian Fuller, Project Manager. “By leveraging innovation and maintaining a commitment to safety, we ensured a successful outcome that enhances mobility and road quality.”
The project’s success was built on strong partnerships, teamwork, and an unwavering commitment to quality. We want to give a special thank you to all Supers, Foremen, Crushing, Hot Plant, Trucking and Crews for their dedication and hard work!
